THE Star Education Fair 2009 will see some new faces among the more familiar exhibitors from past years.
Newcomer Trinity College Dublin will be exhibiting under a pavillion comprising nine other Irish instituitions.
“Irish education already has a good reputation here, especially in the area of medicine,” said Enterprise Ireland executive secretary Sabrina Ng. “But we want to raise awareness of Ireland’s top-notch courses in business, IT, engineering and hospitality.”
Ng was among representatives from over 145 who turned up at Menara Star last Wednesday to ballot for booths for the fair next year.

Brickfields Asia College was the first to pick out the location of its booths during the balloting session.
The college, as well as Inti Education Group and KDU College are the biggest exhibitors at next year’s fair, with each taking 14 out of more than 400 booths.
The Russian Centre of Science and Culture, a non-profit organisation that promotes Russian education and culture in Malaysia, will be exhibiting for the second time at the event.
Education head Yulia Shestakova said that the centre aims to build good relations between Russia and Malaysia through education.
Another newcomer to the Star Education Fair 2009 is Penang-based Study International Education Consult, which is taking one booth. The company acts as a student recruitment agency for about 40 universities from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Apart from vying for the most strategic booths, exhibitors also had the chance to purchase travel packages to Penang, where the fair will be held on Feb 28 and March 1 at the Penang International Sports Arena. http://educationsforallage.blogspot.com/
